COLUMBIA, SC (November 2, 2012) – CGL was proud to be a Platinum Member and sponsor at this year's International Corrections and Prison Association held October 28 – November 2 in Mexico City, Mexico.
Several CGL employees were integral to the conference's success including Steve Carter, treasurer of ICPA, Bob Goble, board member of ICPA, and Cassandra Johnson, business manager of the ICPA management team. CGL President and CEO Buddy Johns delivered his message on "The Benefits of Private Participation in Development of International Justice Systems and Infrastructure" on the second day of the conference.
This year's conference theme was "Different Paths, One Vision: Transforming Corrections." Over 450 delegates from some 60 countries attended this year's event. ICPA is the leading international organization for exchanging best practices in corrections. Next year's event will be held October 27-November 1, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO.
