On Thursday, May 30, the City of Flagstaff hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new municipal courthouse. CGL justice experts Enrique Maciá and Cameron Glass joined project team members, city officials, and members of the public at the construction site in downtown Flagstaff to celebrate the occasion.

Attendees of the groundbreaking ceremony praised the design of the new facility and how well it fit into the City of Flagstaff, noting that the future courthouse just ‘looked like it belonged’ from the first time they saw the design.

The new facility will feature three jury-capable courtrooms, one non-jury courtroom, deliberation rooms and more. Located at 101 West Cherry Avenue, the new three-story, $19.5 million dollar facility will replace the current, smaller, building at 15 North Beaver Street when it opens in Spring 2020.
