The Howard County Circuit Courthouse Project cleaned house at this year’s P3 Awards, taking home top honors in two awards categories and snagging Howard County the Silver Prize for Government Agency of the Year.

Howard County Circuit Courthouse won Gold in the two categories: Best Social Infrastructure Project and Best Financial Structure (Social Infrastructure). The judges loved the project’s unique approach, stating that it was creative while remaining efficient, and consisted of competitive design techniques and sustainable features.

The 238,000-square-foot facility will be completed through the first public-private partnership in Howard County, and resolve deficiencies in the existing courthouse, which was built 175 years ago. CGL developed the design standards and guidelines for the project and serves as the Owner’s Representative for courts planning and design.
