David Childress

David has worked in secure justice facility maintenance since 1999 where he began working at the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Federal Correctional Institution Sheridan in Sheridan, Oregon. Over the course of his career with the FBOP, David was responsible for managing more than 200 civilian and inmate workers performing more than $70 million in maintenance and projects. He ensured the facility was in continuous operation by managing all preventative and corrective maintenance, overseeing all aspects of renovation and improvement projects, and controlling energy costs. He was accountable for all the work performed at FCI Sheridan. David is currently the Regional Operations Manager for all of CGL’s west coast maintenance programs. He oversees 15 managers and technicians in two states and is responsible for the maintenance of 760,000 SF of secure justice facilities. He is involved in CGL’s work with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from his office in Sacramento. He will be the Regional Manager for the NCRO area and will serve as the region’s primary point of contact for the JCC contract.
